How children learn here
Péntemind is Kidzee's own curriculum from Playgroup to Senior KG, aligned to NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework. Its method, in three words:
Learn.Unlearn.Relearn.
Five minds, side by side
- Emotional BalanceEmpatheticKnowing their own feelings and noticing other people's. Kidzee puts it first: a child who feels settled is ready to learn.
- Knowledge AcquisitionConscientiousTaking in new things with care, and beginning to make thoughtful choices of their own.
- Knowledge RetentionFocusedStaying with a task and practising until it comes right, so that what is learned stays.
- Knowledge ApplicationAnalyticalLooking closely, comparing and working things out, step by step, to solve a problem.
- Knowledge DevelopmentInventiveThinking past the usual answer: imagining, and trying ideas of their own.
Eight programmes
- ArtsyArt, and learning to look at art: making it, and enjoying other people's.
- Mental MightUnderstanding that people differ, that everyone belongs, and how we are all connected.
- ShowstopperDrama, from planning a little play to putting it on.
- Tell-a-TaleStories that explore who does what and what is right or wrong, then invite children to draw worlds of their own.
- Whirl & TwirlDance, through its five elements: body, action, time, space and energy.
- Personality DevelopmentGrowing a child's self-esteem and self-confidence.
- Critical ThinkingThinking things through in order, and giving reasons.
